I would recommend the book "Transactional Memory 2nd edition" (2010) by Harris,
Larus, and Rajwar.
Cheers,
Andrew
P.S - once I get the latest pypy stm branch compiled, I would like to give a
talk to the Montreal Python User's Group about PyPy stm. Using "Transactional
Memory," I would describe the approach. I'll also want to see if I can write a
PyPy STM version of the Santa Claus problem a la the Haskell solution in
"Beautiful Code."
