Ah, maybe it was too well hidden in the doc... It's there: http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/pyqt/docs/x381.html The gist of it is, if you're emitting a native Qt signal coded in C++, you'll be using SIGNAL. If you're emitting a signal you made yourself in Python, you'll be using PYSIGNAL.
