I think I posted that 4.0rc3 would work - it won't. Actually rc3 has the bug above. You need: sip-snapshot-20040424.tar.gz which is at: http://www.river-bank.demon.co.uk/download/snapshots/sip4/ You shouldn't need to rebuild PyQt, just sip (although rebuilding PyQt won't hurt).
