I'd like to add here that it is also probably rather hard to store any QObject derived object. For instance you have to store this object, all it's children and their children, eventually all other objects that this QObject has a connection to and maybe even more. Or you could say that you will not store any of there, but then storing a QObject doesn't make much sense anymore...
