Piotr thank you for the hint!I build the program separately as a static library (dylibs in mac osx are somewhat tricky) and it works now.
Is there an example somewhere on howto convert between python and c/c+ + data types. I am in particular looking for a way to convert a c array of floats to a python list (or numpy array). If someone has some program which does this I would love to see the code :)
