PySide on Maemo 5 should already be compiled against the hildonized libraries provided by the Trolls themselves. Hence, any Qt application written using PySide should look pretty native on Maemo 5 already.
While I'd love to use the python bindings to the Qt toolkit, it seems neither PyQt or pyside use Hildon widgets yet, and I'd be afraid of my applications not looking native or being finger friendly on this platform.
They should, at least on PySide. As Hugo mentioned, we haven't yet provided bindings for the Maemo 5 specific widgets (actually, this was the first time I heard about them). They will definitely be supported in the future but probably only after we have finished the Shiboken transition (unless some enterprising community member would be interested in doing that in the meanwhile ;-)).
