We'd still prefer community members to take the maintainership for them.
However, we're also prepared to help fixing any blocker issues such as
the "#define protected public" hack and such. As for that specific
issue, it's already estimated in our backlog and the team didn't regard
that as a very big issue. It didn't quite fit in the current sprint, though.
