Hi Detlev,
In the short term we don't have any plans for QScintilla. We're moving
towards a 1.0 release and the main effort is concentrated in bugfixing
and API compatibility with PyQt whenever possible. Could you open a
request into bugzilla? This way your request won't get lost.
Actually, In my opinion QScintilla doesn't really belong in the scope of
the PySide project altogether; it's not part of Qt and the license is
different, so I don't think it should be part of PySide either.
Having said this, being a compact, self-contained QObject-based library,
QScintilla would seem to be well-suited to be done as a separate binding
project. Since I've been trying to re-polish my personal (rather meager)
binding-generation skills and review the binding generation tutorial, I
could actually try creating the QScintilla bindings myself. I'm not
going to provide any timetable for that, though. :-) And I'll welcome
any assistance on the project...
Cheers,
ma.
