After upgrading, do I need to change all the Depends: and Build-Depends:

Hi, Luca!

Good that you noticed the new packages only now - we've had some rough time getting them in shape this week. ;-)

The package naming scheme has changed because we now use Didier Raboud's debian packaging for Maemo as well (apparently with some modifications). The new packaging conforms to the Debian Python policy, which, I believe, should be followed on Maemo too.

We haven't yet prepared instructions for the packagers but we've prepared transitional dummy packages so that existing applications should work as-is. The old package names should be considered deprecated, though, so any new application release should preferably be updated to refer to the new packages names. I hope this wouldn't be too much of an annoyance, though.

Cheers,

ma.
