Matti,

Having failed to install binaries of PySide, I took the plunge and installed
the "bleeding edge" from source (into kubuntu 10.10).

The PySide.__version__ and PySide.QtCore.__version__ now returns 1.0.0 and
4.7.0 respectively.

I want to put a couple of very small and very elementary tutorials of a "Hello
World" level, including a sript showing About box with PySide and Qt versions
- 1.0.0 and 4.7.0.

PySide v 1.0.0 has significant improvements, including unicode argument
acceptance by QApplication. This now allows Eric4.x use with PySide. Great
stuff!

Thank you all, PySide team and Matti,

OldAl.
