I would like to determine the prerequisites for installation of
PySide on a PC with ubuntu10.10. To do that I installed a VM
with pristine ubuntu10.10 OS with a gnome desktop.
Then the following dialog ensued:
sudo su
<password entered>
#> apt-get install python-sphinx git vim
#> ./dependencies.ubuntu.sh
#> ./alter_pull_build_all.sh
The installation script worked ok for about 30 minutes and
failed. Attached is a tail of the console messages, all copied

A quick peek would indicate a couple of issues:
First, you probably need to run "ldconfig -a" to get rid of the "cannot
open shared object file" error. This needs to be done whenever the ABI
version of PySide is bumped (which hasn't happened since the beta cycle
started, which kinda makes me wonder).
Second, the script appeared to fail when pulling the updates from
gitorious. I'd guess this is a transient issue, so just try again.
I just rebuilt PySide from sources on Ubuntu 10.10 and had no issues
with it.
Cheers,
ma.
