Hi list,
There might be uncertainty or confusion amongst the PySide users
regarding the project's future after the Nokia strategy changes on
Friday. Therefore, now that the biggest boulders (if not the dust) have
settled, let me clarify that the changes have no immediate impact on the
PySide project: the OpenBossa work still continues to be sponsored by
Nokia, and we will do the 1.0 release (and work beyond) as planned.
Sorry about the delay in communicating this!
Also I would like to note that my last week's announcement about
reducing my own participation was purely coincidental (we had no news
about the strategy change internally, either), and actually the changes
after the news will allow me to again devote most of my time to the
Python project. However, in order to not shake things up too much,
Luciano will continue as the product owner and Hugo will still be doing
the EM tasks.
