Hi, let's hold on a bit;
While I'm exhilarated by the fact that someone is willing to provide commercial support for PySide, I need to clarify that PySide is an open-governance open-source project and doesn't by itself provide any commercial support facilities. However, any third party entities are free and welcome to do so. A workable analogy would be Python itself; Python Software Foundation does not provide commercial support, nor can you buy features to Python itself. Then again, there are a vast number of companies providing commercial support for different Python distributions, and you certainly can commission them to implement new features. Whether the features are included in the main Python codebase depends solely on technical merit. PySide should follow the same principles. So, let's rather just list the entities providing commercial support on the wiki or even on the main website. Luciano, would you kindly do that? The pyside.org website or mail addresses cannot be used for providing commercial services, so please remove any such references (except for the list of companies providing commecial support, of course). Thanks, ma. ________________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] on behalf of ext Luciano Wolf [[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, July 13, 2011 21:31 To: [email protected] Subject: [PySide] Announcing PySide Commercial Support!
