Hi Peter,
Sorry for the delay in my reply.
I think the idea of having a PySide workshop to get the community
organized is a great one! Unfortunately, I don't think Nokia has any
available funds for organizing such events but maybe this would fit
INdT's goals better, anyway?
Actually, Qt Developer Days would provide a great framework for such a
PySide event! Either during, before, or after the actual event.
Good topics for such an event would be:
- Defining the project mission statement (the goals for the PySide
project have been stated, but not in a very explicit manner)
- Defining the project structure
- How to get the core development into public forums
- Open development practices for PySide
- Getting started on PySide desktop programming
- Getting started on PySide mobile programming
- Workshop on PySide toolchain internals
- Workshop on generating bindings to Qt/C++ libraries using PySide toolchain
- Workshop on practical PySide debugging and bugfixing
Would there be broader interest for such an event?
Cheers,
ma.
