Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the reply. I've been using PySide/Qt4 for a bit now and it's working great!

But I'm also interested to know about future development -- is it just stalled or is it completely off the table? And why?

Plus I'm also interested to know about the PySide community. Is there still enough support or is everyone already moving on to something else, i.e. PyQt? I know that's a tough question to answer but wanted to get some thoughts on this.

Cheers,
Robert

I guess it depends on what you mean by "dead". The current pyside bindings are plenty functional and stable. If you do not need specific things from Qt5 - PySide is still a fine option.

    Hello,

I'm new to the mailing list so I apologize if this was brought up
    already.

But I was visiting the PySide wiki home page and saw this message:
    """

*As of 2015, The PySide project looks mostly dead and does not
    support Qt 5*.

*If you are looking for a long term solution, or one compatible
    with Qt 5, consider/PyQt/instead*.
    """

Does anyone have any details about this? I'm curious to know why
the project is dead and if there will still be dev support, even
short-term, for the current state of PySide.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Many Thanks,
    Robert
