I can co infirm that the 'ugly' workaround does 'suppress' the messages. I did notice that QtDesigner 5.14.1 generates code: self .lineEditAmt.setAlignment(Qt.AlignRight|Qt.AlignTrailing|Qt.AlignVCenter) No messages from that
