Some might have noticed that I haven't completed support for Materials and Vertex Colors in the exporter yet. That's largely because I'd like to know exactly how it should look before going any further, and I can't just decide on that by myself, because it's very dependent on what PySoy wants to know, and how it wants to know it :)
With regards to VCol, there are a few implementation issues with it. Namely that VCols are defined per face in blender, and per vertex in soya and pysoy. (This should actually already be solved. Just take the average of all the vertex colors on one vertex). But there's also the issue of when to enable, or carry over the vertex colors. I noticed that the blender2soya script seems a bit naive in this respect. If it finds vertex colors, it carries them over, regardless of whether the artist has actually done anything to enable/disable them anywhere (this is complicated by the fact that you can actually enable/disable VCols on the Material level in Blender). I've been ignoring these issues the past few days, and have been working on the importer instead. Hopefully, it shouldn't take more than a day to get the exporter finished when we reach a decision on these issues. _______________________________________________ PySoy-Dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.pysoy.org/mailman/listinfo/pysoy-dev
