We're not using GPLv3 yet since PySoy isn't released. At present there's no license on PySoy, only a promise for it to be available under the GPLv3 once the license is released. The GPLv2, due to some specific issues with terms and phrases used to describe source code, would basically make PySoy "LGPL". The issue stems from the fact that games don't "link" against PySoy in a way that C programs do, the GPLv2 really wasn't drafted with interpreted languages in mind. The GPLv3 SHOULD be released by the end of June which coincides with our chalked Beta-1 release. If it's signifigantly delayed we can always raise the issue again. It doesn't take that long to sed a "3" into a "2" after all. _______________________________________________ PySoy-Dev mailing list [email protected] http://www.pysoy.org/mailman/listinfo/pysoy-dev
