As a followup to my previous email. I just noticed that the arrays retrieved from my table are arrays of numarray type, while the opnes from the VLArray object are of numpy array. I haven't found a way to define the flavor of array explicitly in the Table declaration.
I don't know if this is also related to the shape being (1,len) instead of (len,) as I would like.
