Has anyone built/installed PyTables on OS X 10.6 / Snow Leopard?

I can't get past ./configure building HDF5.

I'm running Snow Leopard Server, I've got numpy, scipy etc... installed.

I know this is really an HDF5 question, but my real desire is for
PyTables, and HDF is just a step towards that.

thanks for any insight,
-robert
