Well, Tk is available on the "big three" (Windows, Mac, UNIX), but if you venture onto other platforms, don't expect to find it there. People may argue that the "big three" are all that matter, but that argument usually ends up with the "big two" and then total incoherence: eg. "this works on the Windows and Mac, whereas this works on Windows and UNIX"; something that has gradually (and thankfully) been eradicated over the past few years in parts of the standard library.
