We're pleased to announce the release of PyX 0.8. PyX now supports PDF output and also the generation of multi-page PS/PDF documents. The internals of the path system have been cleaned up and the external interface has been streamlined. The axis data handling of the graph component has undergone a major revision. Many other improvements and bug fixes are included in this release.
What is PyX? PyX is a Python package for the creation of PostScript and PDF files. It combines an abstraction of the PostScript drawing model with a TeX/LaTeX interface. Complex tasks like 2d and 3d plots in publication-ready quality are built out of these primitives.
