Summary: Docs for list.extend() are incorrect

Initial Comment:
2.3.6.4 Mutable Sequence Types footnote (3) says that
list.extend() raises an exception when the argument is
not a list object. In fact extend() seems to work with
any iterable or iterator.

This has already been addressed in the Python 2.4.1
documentation.
