Category: Macintosh Group: Python 2.3 >Status: Closed >Resolution: Wont Fix Priority: 5 Submitted By: Bob Ippolito (etrepum) Assigned to: Jack Jansen (jackjansen) Summary: PackageManager maintainer missing documentation Initial Comment: I was unable to locate maintainer documentation on the schema of the PackageManager database ( http:// python.org/packman/version-0.3/darwin-6.6- Power_Macintosh.plist ). I was also unable to locate documentation for how a maintainer would build one of these databases (particularly for binary packages). However, I was able to reverse engineer it by looking at the Package Manager/PIMP sourcecode, and I've prototyped an example script for building a binary package and spitting out a template for its entry in the plist. It's attached. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Ronald Oussoren (ronaldoussoren) Date: 2006-06-25 23:30 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=580910 Closed as "Won't Fix" because PackageManager was dropped in 2.5. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=105470&aid=779154&group_id=5470 _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
