+_find_unsafe = re.compile(r'[^\w@%\-\+=:,\./]', re.ASCII).search
FWIW there are still unnecessary escapes before '+' and '.', and possibly '-'
('-' doesn't need escaping only when it's at the end (or beginning) of the
regex).
