Roger Serwy <roger.se...@gmail.com> added the comment: This only applies to menu items from extensions (in this case, ScriptBinding.py). Other events (Copy, Cut, Paste, etc) update the menu shortcut properly.
IDLE handles bindings for extensions separately from built-in functions.
