Eli Bendersky <eli...@gmail.com> added the comment: I started going over the deprecated methods in ElementTree and ran into a more serious problem. XmlParser.doctype() is listed as deprecated, and indeed ElementTree (the Python version) issues a deprecation warning. However, the C implementation doesn't have doctype() at all so I get AttributeError.
