Mark Dickinson added the comment: Okay, but if a user can run IDLE with sudo, they presumably *already* have many other ways to use sudo to create files in /root, without using IDLE or tkinter. That's why I said: "*that they wouldn't be able to execute otherwise*". I don't see the security issue here.
