Eli Bendersky added the comment: By the way, if anyone is willing to take on the documentation, that could be of great help. It shouldn't be very hard since PEP 435 is extremely detailed. The stdlib .rst doc would be the descriptions from PEP 435 plus a reference of the exposed classes which is pretty minimal.
