I'll start simple by trying to develop a set of patches for the 2.7.5 source tar-ball, which I usually use to build Python. If that succeeds, I'll look into pushing it into the related source files. So far, I'm anticipating modifying these files: configure, Makefile.pre.in, and setup.py. ... Thanks!
