Ahmad El-Komey added the comment: EDIT: Regarding the icon, I found that this is not an issue. In fact, this is the new icon starting from version 2.7.7 (The same goes for 3.4.2. Not sure of previous versions)
Regarding the pin to taskbar: After uninstalling Python 3.3 and installing Python 3.4.2, I can pin python 2.7.8 to the taskbar. I really have no idea why.
