Akira Li added the comment: As I've mentioned in http://bugs.python.org/issue22524#msg231703
os.walk size 7925376343, scandir.walk size 5534939617 -- NOT EQUAL! os.walk and scandir.walk do a different work here. I don't see that it is acknowledged so I assume the benchmark is not fixed. If the fixed (same work) benchmark is used then there is no performance difference on Linux. See the attached file http://bugs.python.org/file37292/get_tree_size_listdir.diff Note: the performance improvements on Windows along should be enough to accept os.scandir() even if Linux version won't be improved (if the behavior is documented). ---------- _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <http://bugs.python.org/issue22524> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
