Martin Panter added the comment: I think pydoc could be left alone. The RST documentation doesn’t say anything about importing any functions from the module that I can see. I was surprised that it even defines __all__ = ["help"]. Perhaps pydoc.doc() was another false indication in Serhiy’s list.
