Ned Deily added the comment: Assuming you are using the Python 3.5.1 from the python.org OS X binary installer, you need to install a version of Tcl/Tk 8.5 (such as ActiveTcl 8.5.18), not 8.6, as is described here: https://www.python.org/download/mac/tcltk/.
