Steve Dower added the comment: I'd also suggest that this is potentially exploitable (if the Python code calling into ctypes is already vulnerable - I don't think you could reasonably manufacture an exploit simply from this bug) and it should probably go into all active security branches. I think that's what the current selection represents, but I don't remember where 3.3 is at right now.
