The initial bug reported in this issue is now fixed. Even if the Blaze issue is related, I would really prefer to discuss it in a different issue, so I created #28120: "The Blaze test suite segfaults with 4a5b61b0d090". @Xiang: I simplified find_empty_slot() to remove code to support split table.
