Erik Bray added the comment: To me, Masayuki's patch is an acceptable work-around for the time being. I don't *like* it because the fact remains that native TLS can work on these platforms and falling back on Python's slower implementation isn't necessary. That said, the previous patch attempts also add additional overhead that shouldn't be necessary.
