New submission from Arie van Wingerden: I discovered that BitDefender somehow blocks part of the installation of Python 3.x on Windows, resulting in a completely broken installation. I found this after having turned my system inside out ... @!#$%^&^%$#@
So solving it is either: deinstall BitDefender exclude files from being marked as a virus Maybe this can be mentioned on the install page? ---------- components: Windows messages: 298472 nosy: Arie van Wingerden, paul.moore, steve.dower, tim.golden, zach.ware priority: normal severity: normal status: open title: Python 32 bit install fails on Windows - BitDefender false positives type: behavior versions: Python 3.6 _______________________________________ Python tracker <rep...@bugs.python.org> <http://bugs.python.org/issue30944> _______________________________________ _______________________________________________ Python-bugs-list mailing list Unsubscribe: https://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-bugs-list/archive%40mail-archive.com
