Andrew Svetlov <andrew.svet...@gmail.com> added the comment: Yes. aiohttp uses own streams but public API and internal implementation are pretty close to asyncio streams. Moreover C accelerated HTTP parser should work with proposed BufferedProtocol seamlessly.
