Thank you for your quick reply. How can this be expected behaviour? Could I please kindly ask you to point to an documented explanation, specifically for why the folder is PREpended to sys.path (put before), instead of being APpended (put after). The fact that local files conflict with absolute imports _within dependent modules_ is nothing short of a hack (think from the point of view of the dependencies themselves), and IMO clearly conflicts with the idea of absolute imports in the first place.
