Recently I figured out an issue in python3 re which doesn't escape some special characters. Not sure whether this bug has been reported already. Have attached screenshots for your reference. Steps to reproduce: 1. wget https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.7.3/Python-3.7.3.tar.xz 2. tar -xvzf Python-3.7.3.tar.xz 3. cd Python-3.7.3 4. ./configure 5. make 6. make install.
