Just as an FYI, there is a repository for building curses wheels for Windows at https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/windows-curses, based on patches from here and Gohlke's work. Building wheels is less straightforward than it used to be, e.g. due to term.h disappearing from PDCurses.
