The r68461 checkin seems to be causing a number of the buildbots to fail,
typically with output like:

Please could you look into this?
Also, I don't understand the code:
for i in xrange(1000):
a = i*i
in pendingcalls_wait(), in test_capi.py. Whatever you're
trying to do here, surely there's a better way?
