Carey <carey.metca...@gmail.com> added the comment: I am having the exact same problem with both the AMD64 and 32 bit installs. The python shell just will not open. For now I am running it in the virtual XP machine but it is extremely slow and a fix would be very helpful. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no effect. I too am willing to set up a remote desktop connection if it would help.
