Instead dealing 2.7 will just be completely optional for coredevelopers
I was worried about this part, that if bug-fixes are
optionally back-ported, then we may end up a inconsistent, undesirable
state.
They already are. There are routinely things I (and other developers)
don't consider for inclusion in 2.x.
