FWIW, my position was to leave __definition_order__ in place. However, once it became *mostly* redundant, I didn't consider the remaining benefits to be sufficient justification for the extra complexity in the code to the point that it was worth debating. So I didn't object very strenuously when Benjamin suggested removing it. Regardless, I'm still in favor of keeping __definition_order__. :) -eric (phone)
