Without patch:

    $ ./python -m timeit -s "import os" "os.times()"
    500000 loops, best of 5: 546 nsec per loop

With patch:

    $ ./python -m timeit -s "import os" "os.times()"
    200000 loops, best of 5: 1.23 usec per loop
