Personally, I think that given the low transport in this group, it would not hurt to occasionally publish an event which is on-topic and might interest the members, even if it is not specific to the local community. BTW, as a list moderator I must point out that "I wanted to reach out to you about ..." is such a typical prefix for spam messages that I almost automatically hit the "discard" button. My personal email address is available on the list info page, and if you had used that instead of the list address, things would have been simpler and more effective. Amit
