I guessed so, but Python's behaviour wrt/ naming can be somewhat surprising for newcomers, and accidentally shadowing builtins (or not builtins FWIW) names is a common pitfall. So better to warn newcomers lurking here !-) -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
