My best advice: Skim it -- just flip the pages, glancing at each one without really reading it -- maybe just read the bold type. You'll find that very rewarding when you run into a problem in your coding and remember that you saw *something* which could be related. You will probably notice some built-in functions that you will need and possibly would have re-invented if you didn't know they were there.
